North Jersey Friendship House Annual Report – Fiscal Year 2024
Fiscal Year 2024 was a milestone year for North Jersey Friendship House, as we proudly celebrated our 60th Anniversary. This special occasion was marked by a memorable Gala honoring the legacy of longtime supporters, community partners, and the incredible individuals who have shaped our journey. A highlight of the year was the launch of the NJFH Day Program Theater Initiative. Performing arts have proven to be especially therapeutic for individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. This program will offer our members meaningful opportunities for self-expression, confidence-building,
and community engagement.
We deepened academic and clinical partnerships with Hackensack Meridian Health
School of Medicine and Kean University, expanding experiential learning while directly
enhancing member care. We completed our Dimensions of Wellness Program, thanks to a generous grant from the County of Bergen. This initiative of community-based
activities address all aspects of wellness, helping participants restore
connections and rebuild routines disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
FY 2024 was a year of growth, healing, and new opportunities for our members and our
organization.
