Spotlight: William — One of Our Employees of the Month
William is a proud graduate of our Project SEARCH Program, and his journey since completing that program is a true testament to what dedication, heart, and a positive spirit can accomplish. Every day, he goes out with his supervisor as part of our cleaning crew, embracing his janitorial skills with real pride and professionalism.
Porters are the unsung heroes of any organization, keeping our spaces clean, safe, and welcoming for everyone who walks through our doors. William takes that seriously and does so with warmth and enthusiasm. He greets everyone with a cheerful hello, helps without hesitation, and is unfailingly respectful and dependable.
Last month William celebrated his 9th work anniversary with NJFH! He usually keeps busy at one of our Janitorial Services sites, but as luck would have it, he was at our Hackensack Program last Friday during Morgan Stanley’s Give Back Day. That meant our CEO Dinorah D’Auria got to congratulate him in person, and of course they made time for a photo together.
We are so thankful for everything William does, especially his work at Caven Point Military Base, one of our AbilityOne federal contracts through SourceAmerica. William embodies the values of North Jersey Friendship House in every sense, and he is proof of what is possible on the right job path. We are so happy to be part of your journey, William!
