As a valued partner of North Jersey Friendship House (NJFH), you already know the heart of our mission: “Building Skills for Productive Lives.” Because of you, more than 400 individuals and their families each year find the support, structure, and opportunity they need to grow, connect, and build the lives they deserve.
We are writing to you a little earlier than usual, and with real intention. This year, we are aligning our Fundraising Campaign with our fiscal year, so that every dollar you give is tied directly to the plans, programs, and people it will support in the year ahead. It is a change that makes us stronger, more transparent, and more accountable to you.
This past year proved what our community can do together. Your generosity powered transformative gifts including one of $20,000 to provide no-cost, nourishing meals to our members in Hackensack, removing a daily barrier so our members could focus on healing, learning, and connection. That single act of generosity fed people, yes, but it also fueled momentum. It is exactly the kind of tangible, life-changing impact we intend to build on.
This year, we are setting our sights higher. We are launching ambitious targets that reflect both the growing needs of our members and our confidence in a community that has never stopped showing up. We have organized the campaign around four pillars of priority, each one a concrete, fundable commitment to the people we support.
- Health & Wellness — A new Oradell horticultural garden, continued no-cost meals in Hackensack, and expanded therapeutic and nursing supports. ($120,000)
- Transportation — Service and replacement for an aging fleet of 25+ vehicles that gets our members to program every day. ($30,000)
- Workforce Development — Paid training and competitive-wage employment for members, plus ongoing professional development for our staff. ($50,000)
- Inclusive Theater — A fully staged production built over months of rehearsal = confidence, connection, and creative achievement. ($20,000)
None of this is possible without you. Your tax-deductible gift to our Fundraising Campaign will directly empower our members to keep building skills, confidence, and purposeful lives. Every contribution, at any level, moves one of these pillars closer to reality.
