North Jersey Friendship House was established in 1964 by the Teaneck Chapter of the National Council of Jewish Women. Friendship House began as a storefront operation staffed by dedicated volunteers and continues to serve individuals with varying abilities. With headquarters in Hackensack, New Jersey, North Jersey Friendship House has grown into a multifaceted organization serving annually over 400 individuals in various locations exceeding 45,000 square feet of programing space, staffed by over 100 professionals.
As a 501(c)(3) non‐profit organization, North Jersey Friendship House appreciates the support of the community and gladly accepts donations in support of its programs.
In addition to financial contributions, people can volunteer their time at one of our special events, in one of our pre-vocational work program area, or intern with us.
We hold several events annually and need great volunteers to make these events a success.
We need volunteers to assist in our prevocational training areas throughout the day.
We have interns throughout the year, fulfilling both undergraduate and advance degree requirements in Social Work and Psychology.
In addition to financial contributions people can donate In-Kind products and/or services.
