May 28, 2024: Carla Noriega Elected Chair of the Board of Trustees
Hackensack, NJ – North Jersey Friendship House (NJFH) is pleased to announce that Carla Noriega, MBA, Managing Director of Morgan Stanley, has been elected Chairperson of their Board of Trustees.
Ms. Noriega joined the Board of Trustees in 2022 because the mission of NJFH aligned with the type of organization she was seeking to support. Her most recent roles at NJFH have included: Treasurer, Chair of the Finance Committee and as a member of the Governance and Executive Committees. Her business acumen and financial expertise have proven to be great assets to the Board of Trustees and the agency. Her leadership of the Board of Trustees will be significant as NJFH develops its strategic goals for the next five years.
Recently, Dinorah D’Auria, CEO and Ms. Noriega visited each program at the Hackensack location to foster a smooth transition into her new role. After the visit, Ms. Noriega shared:
“I have been involved with this great agency for almost two years now and continue to be amazed and inspired by the magnificent work being done. NJFH stands apart from other agencies, both in its overall programming excellence, as well as its deep connection with its members. I am thrilled to take on this incredible opportunity to lend my experience and perspective as the agency implements its vision for the future. I look forward to collaborating with my fellow trustees to advise the NJFH senior leadership on the implementation of their strategic priorities which continue to remain true to the organization’s mission.”
Currently, Ms. Noriega serves as Head of Client Tax Operations supporting the Institutional Services Group (ISG), Wealth Management (WM), E*TRADE, and Morgan Stanley At Work clients. She is based in Jersey City, NJ. She is the founder and current global co-head of the Network of Women in Operations (NOW) and the Sponsor of the Global Operations REACH (Recognize and Champion) Mentoring program.
Ms. Noriega started at Morgan Stanley in 2014 as Head of Wealth Management Asset Servicing. Previously, she worked for UBS for 15 years in various Operations leadership roles; earning her master’s degree in business administration from Regis University in 2008. She resides in North Haledon, NJ with her husband and two children.
Thank you to Kim Pulido, BS, EA who completed her 2-year term as Chairperson. NJFH appreciates her service as Chairperson of the Board of Trustees, and as a parent and advocate for adults with autism and other developmental disabilities. For FY 2025, Ms. Pulido has been elected Treasurer and she will chair the Finance Committee. Ms. Pulido joined the Board of Trustees in 2019 and has assisted us with strengthening the agency with her background in finance.
The Board of Trustees also include Donnalee Corrieri, MHA and Elizabeth Rucci, MA as Vice Chairpersons and the Trustees are Patti Murray, DBA, SHRM-CP, Diane Scriveri, and Jason T. Shafron, Esq.
Our mission is focused on building skills, empowering adults with disabilities with the social, emotional, and vocational skills to reach their goals and be integral, productive members of the community. We provide day habilitation, individual and group counseling, pre-vocational readiness training, job coaching and real work opportunities to individuals with varying abilities who share our vision of Building Skills for Productive Lives.
